Asia Pacific Institute of Management is known for educating with excellence. It is among top business schools in India that stresses upon practical orientation of management education. The club is a part of Toastmasters International, California. It was started with the aim of developing effective communication skills among its students through emphasizing “learn by doing”. It conducts two hours long meetings where members give prepared speeches, prompt speeches, presentations and learn leadership skills by playing various roles in the meeting. Club membership is restricted only to the students, faculty and staff of the AIM.
The members improve their communication skills by working upon various communication programmes. For example, the foundation level public speaking communication program manual is comprised of 10 speaking assignments. Apart from basic foundation manual of public speaking, members can select from among 15 advanced manuals to develop speaking skills that are geared to specific interests. The institute keeps on bringing such innovative methods of teaching that helps not just in providing theoretical and conceptual knowledge but also overall development of students as management leaders.
